Information Minister: Islamic Values and Arab Culture key to children’s future

Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi has patronized the concluding ceremony of International Children’s Day.

Addressing the gathering, which was held at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh last night, Dr. Altoraifi said that realizing a glorious future for our children proceeds from recognition of the great significance of upbringing them, on the authentic Arab-cum-Islamic values.

He said his ministry takes care of children culture and arts in collaboration with other governmental agencies concerned. The care extended by our department for children also comes as implementation of the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his wise leadership which believes in children as pillars of the motherland future as well as the instructions of the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince in the same domain.

He said the ministry of culture and information attaches great attention to children, citing that children are part of the TV, broadcasting and all the ministry’s media map, book publications and the allocation of a special pavilion for them at Riyadh international book fair as well as other children programs in different cultural events in the Kingdom.

Then, folkloric performance samples from the children of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, The Philippines and India were displayed.
